Soft oils

Soft oils are one of the most commonly used oil as they are liquid at roon temperature. The oils are derived from the plant and further refined to be suitable for human consumption. To name a few, they are corn oil, sunflower seed oil, canola oil and soya bean oil. These oils are commonly used as cooking oil, food dressings and can also be used in soap making. Lauric oils

Coconut oil and Palm kernel oil are categorized as lauric oils, as both consists to a large degree of lauric acid (C12 saturated fatty acid). Lauric Oils and their derivatives have diverse applications, in the food and chemical industries. Further hydrogenation of lauric oils can further enhance their stability and colour, which is particularly useful in production of mild surfactants, soft vegetable waxes, cosmetics, etc.

Cooking oil / Frying oil

Cooking oil is plant, animal, or synthetic fat used in frying, baking, and other types of cooking. It is also used in food preparation and flavouring not involving heat, such as salad dressings and bread dips, and in this sense might be more accurately termed edible oil. Cooking oil is typically a liquid at room temperature, although some oils contain saturated fat, such as coconut oil, palm oil and palm kernel oil are solid at lower temperatures.
