Mac Plus - rumen protected fat

Mac Plus is rumen bypass fat, made from pure vegetable oil. It has min 75% Palmitic Acid which is saturated and highly digestible in the lower gut. Since it has high melting point and saturated, it bypasses the rumen with minimal digestion. Dairy cattle demand for energy increases tremendously after calving, especially the first 100 days post-partum which leads to drawing energy from its body reserve to meet the demands of milk production and ends up with negative energy balance.
