Palmitic acid

Palmitic acid is a common saturated fatty acid found in fats and waxes naturally in palm oil and palm kernel oil. It is used as an ingredient in detergents, soaps and cleaning products, and as a surfactant. It is also used in beauty products and cosmetics for a variety of properties including as a fragrance ingredient, opacifying agent, surfactant, cleansing agent, emulsifying agent and emollient.
