Peanut

Peanut also known as the groundnut, is a legume crop grown mainly for its edible seeds. They are comprehensively used for the extraction of edible oil from it. The peanut is unusual because it flowers above the ground, but fruits below the ground. From planting to harvesting, the growing cycle takes about four to five months, depending on the type or variety.
